The Moon in the Water...some simple poems..

Post by Marmalade » Wed May 10, 2017 11:20 pm

As the weather warms, like most years I've been picking up the old books...enjoying the same stories and thinking of what I can find here or hereabouts... in a moment of unusual creativity I sat and penned this ^^

The moon in the water.
Legends live and waters flow yet where there's time the monsters grow.
Softly softly the largest eat only what is fed by heat.
The grass it likes the sun above, the warmth it flows in below.
And there the giant waits.

well..before I said limerick...I think I was wrong about that, they're just little poems maybe..I'm going to add a few more, please feel free to join in...

Crafted rods they came to here
After a beer they came to feel
Time was still and fear they saw
Ghostly thing maybe near the shore
Haunted swim...be afraid...

Weedy water time so soft
In the middle lies a trough
Could it be deep down there
After time the giants lair
Cast if you dare..

Treasured water, floating weed
Big fat carp with mind on greed
Take the corn, it's mine I'm sure
Where that rod came from I'm not sure
I'll be saying hello

Gently rocking, side to side
The quill it slides and tries to hide
Beneath is calm and then the rush
Big old carp he's so tough
Checkmate
